Membership Terms & Policies
Before completing your membership, please take a moment to review the information below. We want you to know exactly how your membership works before you continue to checkout.
You are ready to join Maple on Main.
Your membership follows the seasons.
Maple on Main Reading Seasons are two months long. New members join the next available Reading Season rather than beginning in the middle of an existing season.
- Active members automatically continue into the next Reading Season as long as their membership remains active.
- You do not need to re-enroll for each Reading Season.
- Once enrollment for a season has closed, new members are placed into the next available Reading Season.
Membership payments are collected monthly.
Membership payments are collected on the 1st of each month. Your first payment is collected one month before your Reading Season begins, followed by your next monthly payment on the 1st of the month your season begins.
- Your membership is billed monthly while your membership remains active.
- The first payment occurs one month before your Reading Season begins.
- The next monthly payment occurs on the 1st of the month your Reading Season begins.
Your Maple Mail arrives as the season begins.
Your first monthly payment gives us time to thoughtfully prepare your seasonal experience. Physical membership materials, including Maple Mail and seasonal items, are prepared in advance and ship during the first week of the Reading Season.
Digital access may become available immediately after joining, while physical materials follow the seasonal fulfillment schedule.
You can cancel when you need to.
Memberships may be cancelled at any time. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid membership month. Payments for the current paid month are non-refundable.
- Physical seasonal materials that have already been prepared or shipped cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- Society Shop purchases are separate from membership and are subject to the Society Shop's Return & Refund Policy.
A welcoming space for conversation, connection, and community.
Our Community Chat is a place for members to connect throughout the Reading Season and beyond the pages of the monthly book. Members may share thoughts about the current book, other books they're reading, recipes and seasonal favorites, what they're enjoying, and the little pieces of everyday life that make the Society feel like a community.
- Be kind and respectful, even when perspectives differ.
- Keep conversation welcoming and appropriate for the Society, while allowing books, recipes, seasonal interests, and everyday life.
- Be considerate with spoilers and clearly identify significant spoilers.
- Respect privacy and never share personal information or private communications outside the Society.
- No harassment, bullying, hateful or discriminatory content, threats, or unsolicited promotion.
We don't have to agree about every book, recipe, or opinion. That's part of what makes conversation interesting. We simply ask that we disagree with kindness.
